SKYFRAME ACADEMY: BRINGING THE CLASSROOM INTO THE REAL WORLD

A powerful collaboration between Skyframe, BNP Paribas, and The University for the Creative Arts, brought together by The Story Engineers.

If we’re to see the next wave of UK digital artists flourish then they need access to real world experience. That’s a responsibility that Skyframe was willing to take on.

We worked with a range of cross-disciplinary students at UCA, supporting them to create digital media for the impressive Skyframe canvas.

They got full access to Skyframe to make their media. The Skyframe Academy included workshops with industry professionals, access to cutting-edge visualisation, and an opportunity to play freely with the screen to help their drafting process.

Over the course of a month they collaborated to make a show containing 45 minutes of digital art, utilising their skills as animators, directors, composers, and visual artists.

Opportunities like Skyframe Academy give up-and-coming artists the space to learn using real-world examples. These students had incredible ideas to bring to the table, and this project gave them the support they needed to execute them.

Skyframe never takes ownership of a student’s media. They made it, so it’s theirs to keep and take onto the next step.
